Tufa: Also called calcareous tufa, calc-tufa, calc-tuff. A porous limestone
ormed from calcium carbonate deposited by springs, lakes or the like.

Explore this form of casting in the direct form of sculpture. We will be carving the tufa stone to make
molds and pouring molten metal into the tufa. With the addition of beads and found objects
we will create unique pieces of personal adornment.
Retreat price of $1500 includes 7 nights lodging, six days of instruction, open studio time,
welcome cocktail, breakfast daily and lunch on workshop days.
