Painting the Light and Colors of Mexico
Oil / Watercolor / Acrylic
All levels of experience

Participants must have some experience and the equipment for painting outdoors on location.

This painting retreat will focus on the ability to paint quickly and accurately. This is a skill that can be useful in many situations, especially working on location outdoors.

Techniques for achieving a spontaneous yet controlled approach will be practiced. One day will be devoted to working with models outdoors at the Hacienda. All painting sessions will be on location utilizing the natural light and unique environment that Puerto Vallarta has to offer.

Kim English

Kim will paint a brief demonstration each morning to get your juices flowing! We will come together at lunch on location and for evening meals to discuss our paintings and give each other feedback. Kim will critique your work upon request, and help with problem solving throughout the day.

Our group will travel in comfort in a large van with air conditioning. Our private driver, Gregario, will be making sure that we get to our destinations without a hitch. For a change of scenery we will visit Sayulita, a small Pacific coast town north of the city. Sayulita is known for its great surfing and is home to many Americans who have chosen to relocate and live there.

Painters will work with Kim Monday- Thursday and will enjoy two free days, Friday and Saturday to paint on their own, relax at the pool, shop, or visit one of the many beaches.
